Bridging the

West and Ukraine

About us

Bird of Light Ukraine blends the best of the West and Ukraine.

As a Ukrainian organization, we are intimately connected to the issues, allowing us to address them swiftly and effectively. As a Western organization, we understand the oversight, governance, and transparency expected from a 501c3 charity.

This powerful combination has enabled us to deliver extraordinary results since the 2022 full-scale invasion, positively impacting 585,000 civilians across $5.9M in charitable projects in Ukraine to date.

Who’s Been By our Side

Current Initiatives

Childcare

We are driving essential childcare reform in Ukraine by deinstitutionalizing the system and adopting a family-centered approach. Our pilot program integrates therapists to rehabilitate children, reunify them with their families, or place them in foster homes. This initiative not only enhances the well-being of displaced children but also aligns with Ukraine’s EU accession requirements.

Reconstruction

We are dedicated to restoring Ukraine’s critical infrastructure by drilling wells, repairing water pipelines, and reactivating vital hospitals. Our reconstruction initiatives have positively impacted hundreds of thousands of civilians, ensuring access to clean water and supporting the well-being of vulnerable communities.

Advocacy

We drive awareness of Ukraine’s situation through impactful art campaigns, including protests, large photo murals highlighting kidnapped children, and public art pieces symbolizing resistance against aggression. By leveraging Western voices, we ensure Ukraine remains a key focus, complementing our physical aid with vital public support.
