Gifts of Light
Spreading Light Across Ukraine
Millions of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes and reside in unsuitable communal homes. This program alleviates their conditions by providing essentials for necessary for basic comforts.
Gift of Light #1
From the Krohn Breakthrough Foundation
These appliances will allow the school to stock up and plan ahead. Gifts of Light is our new program focused on helping displaced Ukrainians across the country.
Often, what is needed the most to improve quality of life are basic essential items. Generators, folding beds, blankets, electric kettles, heaters, stoves, microwaves etc. Through this program, we will be identifying communities that are hosting large groups of displaced individuals, and we will be supporting their efforts to rebuild their lives.
Thank you, to the Krohn Breakthrough Foundation for sponsoring this donation to support 75 displaced Ukrainians in the Kel'menetsk community in Chernivtsi oblast 🕊🇺🇦
75 Displaced Persons from Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv
Gift of Light #2
Together with the @theworldorphanfund, we have delivered beds, blankets, and other basic essentials to 75 displaced Ukrainians living in a gymnasium in Uzghorod, including 26 children and 20 seniors.
These people have been displaced since March and live their daily lives without heating in a freezing gym, electricity, and other essentials. We take these for granted but imagine living day in and day out on the floor in a freezing gym. You'll constantly be losing heat to the ground. Imagine being unable to dry your clothes and being forced to wear stinky damp clothes. Imagine not being able to dry your hair, cook, or even boil water. These are conditions faced by these displaced Ukrainians.
Through this small donation, we have dramatically improved their living conditions. Thank you @theworldorphanfund for sponsoring this donation, and thank you @epicentr_ua for the generous discount to help these Ukrainians. Slava Ukraini 🕊🇺🇦
