Kahovka Dam Catastrophe Response - Water Pumps, Generators, and Hoses

Bird of Light Ukraine Responds to the Kahovka Dam Crisis

The recent catastrophe at the Kahovka Dam has left an indelible mark on countless lives. Communities have been upended, homes submerged, and the very fabric of daily life torn apart. In the face of such adversity, Bird of Light Ukraine is committed to being a beacon of hope and support.

While the aftermath of the crisis is overwhelming, we are determined to bring about positive change, one step at a time. We are proud to announce the procurement of 6 SCWT80 water pumps. These aren't just ordinary pumps; they are lifelines for those grappling with the devastating floods. Powered by a robust 10W-30 stroke per Honda engine, these pumps are designed to efficiently drain floodwater, helping to alleviate some of the immediate challenges posed by the disaster.

But our efforts don't stop there. To bolster our relief operations, we have also acquired 2 wet hoses and 6 lower sleeves. These additions will enhance the efficiency and reach of our relief efforts, ensuring that more people receive the aid they so desperately need.

Gratitude and Unity

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to The World Orphan Fund for their generous sponsorship of this initiative. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in turning our relief plans into tangible actions. We also extend our thanks to Spiv Diia for their invaluable assistance in implementing the project. Together, we are making a difference.

In these trying times, every contribution, whether big or small, is a testament to the resilience and unity of our community. We are reminded of the incredible impact we can have when we come together with a shared purpose.

Join Us in Our Mission

The road to recovery is long, but with collective effort and determination, we can rebuild and restore. Let's stand shoulder to shoulder, extending our support to those affected by the Kahovka Dam crisis.

Stay strong, and together, we will overcome.
