Restoring Critical Infrastructure at the Regional Family Health Medical Center in Dnipro
We’re excited to announce the successful completion of our water supply restoration project at the Regional Family Health Medical Center in Dnipro. This critical initiative ensures a reliable and secure water system for a hospital that provides care to vulnerable patients, including children, pregnant women, and those impacted by conflict.
In the wake of the Kakhovka hydroelectric disaster, the need for resilient infrastructure became urgent. Despite challenges—like working around hidden underground utilities—the project was completed through careful, manual effort.
Thanks to the incredible support of the World Orphan Fund and Diamondback Energy, the hospital can now continue its vital work, serving over 25,000 inpatients and 241,000 consultations annually.
Kahovka Dam Catastrophe Response - Water Pumps, Generators, and Hoses
In response to the devastating Kahovka Dam catastrophe, Bird of Light Ukraine is committed to providing essential support to affected communities. We have procured six SCWT80 water pumps, powered by reliable Honda engines, to efficiently drain floodwater and address immediate challenges. Additionally, we acquired two wet hoses and six lower sleeves to enhance our relief efforts. This initiative, generously sponsored by the World Orphan Fund and supported by Spiv Diia, highlights our dedication to rebuilding and restoring lives. Through unity and resilience, we are making a meaningful difference in the path to recovery.
3 Mobile Water Purifiers - 2200 Litres Purified Per Day Each!
Thanks to our lovely friends at Compassion Medical, we just received three mobile water purifiers donated by Air Mobile Ministries. Each unit is capable of purifying 2200 litres per day— enough for 1000 people.
These units were sent out to Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Zhaporzhzhia to greek catholic churches currently supporting their local communities in this time of need.
